This week's callA sharper read on the FPL decisions that matter

Bring Schade in before ownership climbs, avoid De Cuyper against Arsenal, and pick Gibbs-White if you would rather have a safe week.

The call

Schade BRE / MID

Five calls this week, and they split cleanly between nerve and patience. Schade is the main edge: strong recent scoring, real underlying attacking numbers and still only 6.6% owned, though Chelsea at home is a difficulty 4 test. De Cuyper is the fade, because a quarter of the game has bought a full-back whose points came from attacking returns and who now hosts Arsenal. Gibbs-White is the low-variance option with the softest fixture on the board. Bogle and Emersonn are the lower-owned swings, both with genuine ceilings and both capable of a blank.

Buy Schade (BRE) now, while he is still 6.6% owned.

Schade has been scoring heavily over his last four and the underlying attacking numbers support it, so the returns are being generated rather than gifted. Transfers in are heavily outweighing transfers out, yet ownership is still 6.6%, which means you are buying ahead of the crowd. His climb fit of 78.76 is backed by the best reliability in the low-owned group and only medium volatility, an unusual combination at his price. The limitation is the fixture. Chelsea at home is difficulty 4, the hardest of any candidate here, and his floor score is 2, so a blank is possible. Some of the early scoring is finishing above his chance quality and should regress.

Risk: Medium — strong form and buy pressure, but a difficulty-4 opponent and a floor score of 2.. Best for Managers with a free transfer wanting a mid-price attacking asset before the ownership climbs past 10%..
